Mini Sessions are perfect for capturing meaningful and authentic images of the way family life feels. Too often we are the ones taking the photographs when we deserve to be present in our family albums. These mini sessions capture you exactly as you are in the moment - time is fleeting and documenting your love, connection and the unique bond you share as a family is something you can treasure in these photographs forever.

What happens at my mini session?
We will chat for a little while so you can all get comfortable around me and get to know me. I'm a relaxed person and have infinite patience when it comes to children so please don't worry about little ones needing to blow off steam and just run around for a while.
I always have my camera out and am there to document things as they happen. The cuddles, the chaos, the beauty and the love. If there are any specific photos you want me to capture then I'm always happy to be guided by you.
Mini sessions last for thirty minutes which doesn't sound like long but is ample time to provide a beautiful mixture of memories which tell your unique story of family life.
Where will the mini session be?
Your mini session will take place in beautiful fields and woodland in the Wentworth area. Access is good with a well paved public lane leading from the street parking to the shoot’s location.
A member of our team will meet you on Street Lane to guide you to the location for photographs. We advise arriving at least 5 minutes before your allotted time to allow for a short walk to the prettier areas surrounding Street Lane.

You should enter Street Lane by taking a sharp turn off Coaley Lane.
What should I wear for my mini session?
The very most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident and like yourself! These are your images so it's more important to me that you'll be proud to hang them in your homes than anything else. The only thing I advise against is large logos on clothing which can be distracting. If you would like more advice on recommended colours and suggested styling options then Pinterest has some great pointers and I'm happy to chat through options with you. I find a good way to make decisions is to lay all your outfits out on the bed and see whether you think it works well.
What happens if it rains?
Your mini session will go ahead as planned unless the weather is going to be detrimental to the quality of your experience. I will be checking the forecast in the lead up to your shoot and will be in touch if we need to rearrange.
What time should I arrive?
Arriving at least 5 minutes before your allotted time will mean everything runs really smoothly and you’ll arrive relaxed and ready for your photo-shoot. There are several sessions held on mini-shoot dates meaning that punctuality is really important to make sure you get the absolute best from your 30 minute session. When sessions start on time we find that 30 minutes is ample to create beautiful photographs of you and your family.
If you are going to be late then please let us know as soon as possible and, whilst we will do everything we can to ensure your session takes place, we are unable to do so to the detriment of our other families who have sessions booked on the same day.
Terms of Service
The session fee secures the date and time in my diary – for this reason the retainer is non-refundable once paid.
If you are late for your session then we may have to move it to the very end of the day as the time slots either side of the mini-session slots are pre-booked by other families. We will be as accommodating as we can possibly be but being on time is really important to the success of mini-session events.
£200 includes 20 high resolution images with full printing rights. You will be provided with a unique online link to select your favourite 20 images with options to purchase more should you wish to.
The images remain copyright of Laura Wood Photography at all times meaning that, whilst you are free to print them as many times as you like, share via social media and with friends and family, they cannot be sold or entered into competitions without our express permission.
Any images shared to social media should not be edited further (use of filters, etc.) this can cause potential damage to our brand.
We take the greatest care when editing your images to a very high standard. We make adjustments to exposure, colour, contrast and temperature as included in your package to provide you with beautiful, unique images. If any additional editing to a person’s natural appearance beyond this is required there may be an additional cost for this service.
If the weather is going to be detrimental to your experience then we will know in advance and make a sensible decision about your shoot. I keep several free days per month as back up plans for issues related to the weather.
