Hello, I’m Your Photographer
I’m Laura and, to me, photographs are feelings - they represent the often unspoken ways in which we love, connect, and move through life. I’m always looking for the story and photographs are my way of telling it. I want you to look at your photographs and remember exactly how you felt in each moment.
I’m a very emotional & sensitive sort which I believe is the reason I’m good at what I do. I notice the little things like little knuckle dimples on children which eventually disappear, little hands gently tugging at your hair, the phase where they want to climb literally everything and anything, the tender embraces on beds piled high with teddy bears and those small glimmers of your teenager behaving like a small child again.
My approach to photography is very natural - I prefer to let moments unfold organically. This being said, I pride myself on capturing these moments in a unique and artistic way, often with a cinematic twist.
I love pies and puddings and cosy pubs on gloomy days - I’m the CEO of romanticising my life and my love of art and creativity spills into all areas of my life. On my days off you’ll find me crafting, baking or just pottering around making my home feel cosy.
I have a lovely husband and two gorgeous kids who are everything to me.
My boys are a constant source of inspiration for me - they’ve taught me that time is fleeting and that the little things really are the big things. The small ways in which we love and connect are the little stories that make for the biggest memories.

Your Story
My focus is to tell the story of your life exactly as it is in this moment. Time is a thief and watching children grow is bittersweet - each stage is uniquely beautiful and deserves to be remembered in all its vibrant, sometimes chaotic and gorgeous glory. Your future selves will always be grateful for images that take you back to exactly how life felt - my goal is to take images which remind you of the daily patterns and unique quirks which are forever changing and eventually become memories. Photographs help us to keep those memories safe.
Moments
As a storytelling photographer I am always on the lookout for moments - little hands gently tugging at your hair, the phase where they want to climb literally everything and anything, the tender embraces on beds piled high with teddy bears and those small glimmers of your teenager behaving like a small child again.
At Home
Photographs taken at home are true treasures. Home is where our milestones are met and where we spend the majority of our time. Home is where most of our core memories are made and where we feel most safe - it is the place we want to return to when we need comfort. Photographs are often taken on big days out or on holidays but it’s home where our unique routines are formed in a life that belongs to us alone - a life we will want to remember for years to come.
Outdoor Adventure
If you are a family who loves to be outdoors, whether in nature or the city, then an outdoor adventure shoot allows you to create new memories whilst having it captured through natural and organic photographs. I am based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire but have travelled as far as London to photograph families on adventures.
